THE AUTHOR: Tom Trench
Day of Retribution is the first novel by Glenn T. Kimbrough, writing under the pen name of Tom Trench, but he is by no means a novice. His writing skills were honed while holding senior-level management positions with several Fortune 500 companies. His executive experience uniquely qualifies him for writing this story. He is a romantic who sees beauty in the things around him, appreciates classical music, fine wine and time spent with his family. When not writing, he enjoys playing golf, hunting, and fishing.
Glenn was born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama. His father was a blue-collar, steel mill worker and his mother, a manager holding a master's degree. Theirs was a typical post-depression, Christian family. Following his freshman year, he won the hand of his high school sweetheart, to whom he is still happily married. The Kimbroughs have three daughters, one son, and seven grandchildren.
Graduating from the University of Alabama with a BS degree in engineering, Glenn was named as The Outstanding Senior and elected President of the Student Body, College of Engineering.
Following graduation, Glenn's career included positions as Project Manager, Management Engineer, Superintendent of Engineering, Plant Manager, Assistant to the Division Vice-President, and Director of Environmental, Health and Safety. Mid-way through his corporate experience, Glenn left to own and operate a company specializing in commercial construction and land development. In 1999, he took early retirement and moved to Colorado, where he now writes full time. His second novel, Day of Reckoning, will be available in 2006.
